SYRACUSE, NY – The Rock Center is excited to open its doors for a grand opening on July 22nd. Now called Rock Center, the former Rockefeller United Methodist Church has undergone extensive renovation while preserving the architectural beauty of the building. Appreciating the history of the building and Syracuse, while keeping an eye toward the future of cultural exchange has been a driving force behind the Rock Center team.
Continuing the legacy the Rockefeller Church had built within the neighborhood, the Rock Center will serve as a community center for the University Area and DeWitt, offering multiple programs, classes, and clubs.
Join us for an Open House and see the new life that is filling this neighborhood gem. In addition to tours and exhibits of the renovated Rock Center, please join us for a special presentation of Chinese Culture. The celebration will feature performances by several local Chinese performers and with a special presentation from the students of our 2017 Culture Camp. Come celebrate with us at the Rock Center on Saturday July 22nd. The Closing Ceremony begins at 3:30pm, while doors of the Rock Center will open for tours and refreshments at 12:00pm.
